Meet the New Owners
Trisha
Hi, I’m Trisha! I’ve been working with animals since 1994, spending much of my career as a veterinary technician and manager in clinics that also offered boarding. In 2018, I partnered with my veterinary colleague to purchase Heart and Soul Pet Clinic, where we remodeled the clinic and expanded services to include boarding and grooming. When I discovered Cedar Creek Pet Resort, I knew it was the perfect place to continue that dream—plenty of land, lots of potential, and most importantly, plenty of space to spoil pets with love.
At home, I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have two daughters, and two beautiful granddaughters. My animal family keeps life lively with two dogs, Stella and Wyatt, two goats, Bert and Ernie (who don’t believe they’re goats), and a bunny named Wilbur.
If you stop by Cedar Creek, chances are Stella will be the first to greet you—she’s convinced she’s the real boss and absolutely loves meeting new friends.
My goal is simple: I want every pet who visits Cedar Creek to feel like it’s their home away from home.
Dorothy
My passion for animal care started early—at just 13 years old, I began volunteering at the local humane society and knew right away that caring for animals would be my lifelong path. I went on to earn my degree in Biology from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. For over 10 years, I’ve worked in the veterinary medical field, gaining experience that allows me to bring a higher standard of care to every pet we serve.
It has always been my dream to create a kennel and daycare where pets feel at home—a comfortable, trustworthy place where families can leave their furry loved ones without worry. Beyond providing excellent care, I want this to be a space that fosters community—a place where staff, clients, and pets all feel connected and supported like family.
Animals have shaped every stage of my life. I even met my husband, Brandon, in college, and I knew he was “the one” when he asked to join me while I volunteered as a dog walker at a local shelter. Today, we share our home with two dogs, Chester and Barley, and our toddler, Elroy—who is already “helping out” in his own way. For us, this is more than a business; it’s a family endeavor built on love, trust, and the belief that pets deserve the very best care.
Meet the Team
Groomers
Sara
Hello my name is Sara, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Cedar Creek Pet family as dog groomer!
A bit about me: my boyfriend and I have two kids and three furry friends. We have a daughter, Lilliana, and a son, Cole! Our fur kids are Remi the Great Pyrenees, Axel the Lab/Shep mix, and Gimli our shih tzu mix! Our family absolutely love being outdoors, camping, and hiking! If I’m not at work, or camping I’m most likely at my other passion, the gym!
I’ve been a dog groomer for about 10 years, and I really enjoy making sure pets have a good and safe experience during grooming. I always lead with kindness and trust to ensure your pet has a positive grooming experience. Even though not every pup enjoys every part of the grooming, I’m happy to work through it and help them feel comfortable in any way I can! I’m so glad to be part of this amazing team and work with your pups to make sure they love coming in for grooming!
Chiara
My name is Chiara, and I’ve been a professional dog groomer since 2023. I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and from the time I was five years old, my biggest passions have always been art and animals. In 2022, I moved to Wisconsin to pursue a career that would allow me to combine both.
I completed a two-year professional grooming program, where I developed strong technical skills and a deep understanding of coat care, skin health, and proper handling. At home, I have four ferrets and an Australian Shepherd, and I spend much of my free time researching dog health, nutrition, and overall wellness.
Creativity is one of my favorite parts of grooming. I especially enjoy dyed hair projects and funky, expressive cuts that allow dogs’ personalities to shine while still keeping their coats healthy and functional. Whether I’m working on a classic groom or something bold and artistic, my goal is always to make dogs look great, feel comfortable, and leave happy.
